Fees
How much do courses cost?
Fees range from NPR 8,000 to NPR 22,000 per course, depending on the course and its length. For example, IELTS Preparation costs NPR 18,000 for eight weeks and HSK 1 Mandarin costs NPR 10,000. Each course page lists its fee, and the trial class is free.
What is included in the fee?
The fee covers all classes, printed study materials and, for exam courses, the weekly mock tests and marking. There is no registration fee. The official IELTS, PTE or HSK test fee is paid separately to the test centre.
Class times
What times are classes held?
Most courses run morning batches from 8 to 10 AM, daytime batches between 10 AM and 4 PM, and afternoon batches from 4 to 6 PM. Each course page shows which of these it offers, and the timetable lists the next start dates. The institute is open Monday to Friday, 8 AM–6 PM, and closed on Saturday and Sunday.
Free trial class
Is there a free trial class?
Yes. Every course offers one free trial class with the teacher who will teach your batch. Book it by phone, WhatsApp, Viber or WeChat, or walk in during opening hours. There is no obligation to join afterwards.
Location
Where is the institute?
We are at Amrit Marg, Thamel, Kathmandu, near Daali Hotel & Apartment and Thamel Eco Resort. Look for the blue Kesun sign, then go up to the 2nd floor. On the Contact page, Get directions opens the route in Google Maps; on a computer, scan its QR code to take the route with you on your phone.
Exams
Which exams do you prepare students for?
IELTS Academic and General Training, PTE Academic, and the Chinese proficiency tests HSK 1 to HSK 6. Exam courses follow the official test format and include a timed mock test every week, marked with feedback within three days.
Payment
How can I pay?
You can pay in cash at the institute, by bank transfer, or with eSewa or Khalti. Fees are paid before the course starts. For courses longer than ten weeks you can pay in two instalments, half at the start and half at the midpoint.
General
I'm a complete beginner. Can I join?
Yes. Spoken English Foundation and HSK 1 Mandarin are made for complete beginners. If you're not sure of your level, book the free trial class and the teacher will suggest the right course and batch for you.
How many students are in a class?
At most 12 students in adult batches, and at most 10 in children's and advanced batches. Small batches mean every student speaks in every class, and teachers can mark homework individually.
