How our IELTS mock tests work

A mock test is a full IELTS exam taken at the institute, timed and marked the way the real one is. Students on the IELTS Preparation course sit one every week.

Before the test

Your teacher tells you the day a week ahead. Bring a pencil, an eraser and your passport or citizenship card, as you would to the real exam.

On the day

• Listening, reading and writing come first, in that order, with the real timings.
• The speaking test is a one-to-one interview with a teacher who is not your own.

Your results

You get a band score for each part, with notes on what to work on. Your teacher goes through your writing with you in class.
